REACH substance bans under Annex XVII extended in November

The list in Annex XVII governs the maximum levels of the listed pollutants in materials used e.g. in consumer products.

Annex XVII of the REACH Regulation was amended on 19 and 23 November 2021. For one thing, the list was extended by one to a total of 76 substances; for another, the entries for substances with list numbers 4 to 7 were modified. The list in Annex XVII governs the maximum levels of the listed pollutants in materials used e.g. in consumer products.

Economic operators responsible for products should keep an eye on changes in legislation to prevent pollutants and take into account the possible surge in testing costs in consequence.

trade-ebility will support you in finding out about the changes and advise you regarding the implementation of new requirements.
