Product Compliance Audit in Online Shop

Product testing for your shop

Admonitions by competitors and complaints by public authorities are annoying side effects for online shop operators. There can be manifold reasons for these. In addition to the classics such as inadequate legal texts, copyright infringements or violations of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), topics relating to the technical properties of the products offered are increasingly emerging in the spotlight.

Currently, particular attention should be paid to the EU Commission's proposal of 22.03.2023 on common criteria against greenwashing and misleading environmental claims. The proposal includes minimum standards that companies making voluntary environmental claims about their products or services must comply with. This concerns advertising claims that must be independently verified and substantiated, as well as stricter regulation of eco-labels.
