New regulations for child seats

Since 9 June 2021, new regulations have been in force for approval of child restraint systems in vehicles. The amendments to UN Regulation No. 44 concern the possible configurations available. The first modifications are to be complied with as of 1 September 2021.

The first modifications are to be complied with as of 1 September 2021. If you manufacture or import vehicle components such as child seats and are concerned, you should refer to the publications by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). These lay down the principles for the approval of safety devices in vehicles, among other things.
