UKCA / CE Labelling Service and Declaration of Conformity

CE marking is always required when a product falls under an EU directive or EU regulation that explicitly requires it. For every product bearing a CE marking, an EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is mandatory.

Examples of this include:

• Machinery
• Toys
• Medical devices
• Electrical and electronic equipment (e.g. Low Voltage Directive, EMC Directive, Radio Equipment Directive)
• Personal protective equipment
• Pressure equipment
• Measuring instruments, etc.

Construction products also have CE labelling requirements and a special declaration is required under the EU Construction Products Regulation. This so-called Declaration of Performance (DoP) documents the essential performance characteristics of a construction product.
