The Toys Directive is being revised – consultation round still open until 25 May 2022

Economic operators affected, such as manufacturers, importers and fulfilment service providers, have the opportunity to put forward their views here.

Last year, the EU Commission launched an initiative to revise the Toys Directive 2009/48/EC. The aim of a regulation is to protect children better especially from harmful chemicals.

The public consultation round is still open until 25 May 2022. This means that any stakeholder can provide feedback until that date. To this end, a questionnaire is required to be completed after registration. Access in this regard is available here.
