EUDR ready?

The first companies affected by the EUDR must be fully prepared for the requirements of the Deforestation Regulation by 30 December 2025. Many companies do not even realise that their products are affected. Here are some product examples from trade-e-bility practice that are not always identified as EUDR relevant at first glance but could be affected, such as certain seasonal items, paper and wood products, furniture, spare parts supplies, etc.

The EUDR Deforestation Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 is one of the most important to-do topics for market participants and sellers of products made from wood, cattle, cocoa, coffee, oil palm, rubber and soya in the coming months. Many companies do not even realise that they are affected. So here are some real examples from trade-e-bility's customer practice: The EUDR may affect products that are made from the above-mentioned raw materials, among others. For example:

  • certain seasonal items,
  • furniture made of wood,
  • certain spare parts,
  • paper

could be affected by the EUDR. However, a determination of the affectedness must always be examined on a case-by-case basis in accordance with Article 1 and Annex I (customs tariff classification) of the EUDR. Please note that many companies will have to implement the EUDR well before 30 December 2025, especially if influential customers demand this.
